Request a Medical Lock Box
Proper medication storage is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent prescription drug misuse and accidental poisoning. The Sebastian County Opioid Task Force provides medication lock boxes, when available, to help families safely secure prescription medications in their homes.
A medication lock box can help:
- Prevent unauthorized access to prescription medications
- Reduce the risk of accidental ingestion by children
- Protect medications from theft or misuse
- Encourage responsible medication management
- Support safe storage of opioid pain medications and other controlled substances
Medication lock boxes are available in limited quantities and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority may be given to households with children, caregivers, seniors, and individuals prescribed opioid medications.
To request a medical lock box, complete the request form. A member of our team will contact you regarding availability and pickup or distribution options.

Request Naloxone (Narcan®)
Naloxone, commonly known by the brand name Narcan®, is a life-saving medication that can rapidly reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. It is safe, easy to administer, and can restore breathing while emergency medical services are on the way. Arkansas supports community access to naloxone as part of statewide overdose prevention efforts.
The Sebastian County Opioid Task Force works to increase access to naloxone throughout our community and may provide naloxone kits and training, when supplies are available.
Naloxone is recommended for:
- Individuals prescribed opioid medications
- Family members and caregivers of opioid users
- People in recovery from opioid use disorder
- Community organizations and businesses
- Schools, churches, and civic groups
- Anyone who may witness an opioid overdose
When you receive naloxone through our program, we may also provide education on:
- How to recognize an opioid overdose
- How to administer naloxone
- The importance of calling 911
- Follow-up care and recovery resources
Naloxone has saved thousands of lives across Arkansas and the United States and remains one of the most effective tools available in the fight against opioid overdose deaths.
To request naloxone, complete the form. Our team will contact you regarding availability, distribution locations, and training opportunities.
